FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

When can I expect the booking time and the pickup time?

We work Mon-Sat 8am – 6pm and the pickup times are between 8am – 6pm Mon-Sat. We can service all areas of Greater Melbourne pretty much the same day due to our high volume of fleet on the road with over 30 Tow Trucks and in case we cannot service you the same day, next day is guaranteed.

What information do I need to have handy when I call you?

To get the higher cash quote possible we strongly advise customers to have the following details ready to get the closest approx. MakeModelYear, Auto or Manual gear box and overall condition of the car.

Can I still sell a car if it’s not registered under my name or the registered owner is away?

Yes, you can still sell a car that you do not own but you must have a written authorization from the registered owner of the Vehicle.

What sort of identification is required on the day of pickup?

We need to photo id you on the day of the pickup of your car, like Driver’s licensepassport, and proof of Age card. We would still ask for id if you have a valid authorization from the registered owner and you are not the owner.

What paperwork is done on the Day of pickup?

Technically a seller would provide with a receipt of the goods sold but with us we have already printed our own generated invoice books where we will fill out the vehicle details and the seller details , its already got all the information for us at the top of the invoice. Our friendly tow truck operator would ask you to sign the document and you get a copy for your record, one copy will be submitted to accounts and one copy will be attached with the book for good.

What happens with my license plates and Registration?

We buy cars with and without registration, it’s totally up to you to sell your car with or without the registration but if you do decide to sell it with the registration we need to fill out a Transfer of Registration Form provided by Vic roads Online or office. And if you decide to sell your car without the registration we will simply remove the license plates and hand them back to you if you haven’t already done so. And if you have forgotten and left your license plates on the car we will not be held responsible for the loss of plates or any other costs.

The license plates attached to the Vehicle will be destroyed once the car has been wrecked or dismantled but until dismantle process it will remain attached to the car and our company will not be responsible for their loss. We can pay you up to $2000 in cash on the spot and however if the value of your car is more than $2000 we strongly advise to collect your cash from one of our offices across Melbourne Vic.

What happens to my car after it has been towed away from my premises?

After your vehicle has been towed away, the towie will drop it off to the closest depot and there it will be assessed to be repaired or dismantled for parts or even for scrap metal and if it’s decided to be pulled apart it would happen within the next 48 hours.

I have left my personal belonging in the car, can I claim it back?

We strongly advise all of our customers to take time to remove all the personal belongings from the Vehicle before it’s been taken away and our company cannot be held responsible for their loss after the removal.
